I am back in Taipei! Even though it's only been a short 4 months since the last time I was in town, it still feels like it's been forever. One thing I love about Taipei is the cafe culture here. From cute/girly/princess themed cafes to the hipster, quirky spots, there are everywhere in Taipei!
Among all the cafes I've tried, One Fifteen is without a doubt on the list of my top 5 cafes. I already did a review on One Fifteen back in February (Read here)
So for this one I'm going to keep it short and simple.Yesterday I took my mom and my sister here for some afternoon tea. We ordered the Dill Salmon Focaccia Open-faced Sandwich, the Very Berry tart*, Organic Fruit Iced Tea, and the soup of the day which was fresh tomato bisque.
*I actually named this myself because it doesn't have an English translation on the dessert menu. In case you're wondering, it's called 法式莓果塔The tart had the right amount of sweetness. The crust was very nicely baked, not too thick, not too thin either. The custard filling was warm and creamy. What I love about this tart was that the inside was not soggy at all even with the warm custard sauce. The berries were a bit sour but went perfectly with the sweet filling, the two balanced each other out!
I don't think I mentioned in my last One Fifteen review that they use Le Creuset cookwares and the choices of utensils and plates are excellent! The presentation of their dishes are just gorgeous!
